In the end a headhunter will narrow it down to the one candidate that is sure to excel in the open position, with salary, previous employment, education, expertise, and likelihood to succeed taken into account. It’s important to remember that a headhunter will do everything in his/her power to match up clients and businesses that mesh well, as this gives the headhunter a better track record and a better chance of retaining the business of companies.
Once the prospect is chosen and contacted for the position, the headhunter will then negotiate a fair salary, benefits, and bonuses that suit both the company and the employee.
